Piketon gains walk-off win over McClain

The McClain Lady Tigers and Piketon Redstreaks were able to play their non-conference game on Thursday evening despite ongoing rainy weather, as the Lady Tigers lost the road game by just a single run at 3-2.
Piketon scored first with one run in the bottom of the first inning, but McClain took the lead with one run in the top of the second, followed by another run in the top of the third for a 2-1 advantage.
PHS answered by tying the score in the bottom of the third inning with a run crossing the plate for a 2-2 score. Piketon gained the win with a walk-off victory as they scored one final run in the bottom of the seventh.
The Lady Tigers finished with seven hits and two errors. Piketon totaled 10 hits and had one error.
Brie Cummins and Sarah Easter each collected two hits to lead McClain. Cummins went 2-for-3 with a double, one steal and a run. Easter finished 2-for-3.
Milla Everetts went 1-for-3, Lindsey Hutchinson was also 1-for-3 a steal, plus she scored a run. Kenzie Wise was 1-for-3 with a double and a RBI. Olivia Stegbauer forced a walk and had a steal.
Hayley Worthen pitched six innings, where she allowed three runs (one earned) on 10 hits and a walk with one strikeout.
Kyndee Williams pitched 0.1 inning, where she allowed no runs, hits or walks.
MHS now stands at 6-11 overall.
