Lions gain 3-goal win over CNE

Monday, Aug. 31 the Fairfield Lions defeated the visiting Clermont Northeastern Rockets by a 6-3 score at Fairfield High School. 

The Lions had five players score a goal, plus CNE had an own goal in the Fairfield win. 

Goals scored by Fairfield were made by sophomore Liam Bender, junior Logan Burgess, junior Colton Durose, junior Patrick Hughes, and sophomore Blake Walters. 

Assists were credited to Burgess, Durose (two), and freshman Owen VanDyke. 

Fairfield also had two saves made by freshman Timothy Thuering at keeper. Also at goal for the Lions was junior Anderson Humphries. 

The Lions are now 1-1-0 in the SHAC and 5-1-1 overall this season.
