Lady Lions upend visiting Paint Valley; Moon gains 1,000th career dig

Taking just three sets to earn a non-conference win, the Fairfield Lady Lions defeated the visiting Paint Valley Lady Bearcats on Monday evening. 

Fairfield earned the varsity win by scores of 25-12, 25-19 and 25-12. 

Fairfield senior Remi Moon had another career milestone with her 1,000th career dig. On Thursday, she finished with 16 digs, one assist, five aces and 17 kills. 

Senior Alyssa Bales totaled one assist, three aces and six digs. Teammate, freshman Brynlee Barrera had a kill and a dig. Junior Addison Cannon finished with four kills and two digs. 

Senior Kinsey Drury had five digs in the win. Sophomore Bailey Jones finished with two kills, one dig and two blocks. 

FHS junior Jorja May ended the match with six kills, three assists, two aces and four digs. Freshman Laurel McCoy had one dig in the win. 

Junior Paisley Stalhut had one kill, 26 assists and seven digs. Fellow junior Hadley Weddle ended the matcj with two digs. 

In all the Lady Lions had team totals of 31 kills, 31 assists, 10 aces, 45 digs, and two blocks. 

FHS is now 6-1 overall.
