Fairfield gains 15-run win over Ripley

A Southern Hills Athletic Conference game on Tuesday (April 28) saw the Fairfield Lady Lions defeat the visiting Ripley Lady Blue Jays by a 15-0 score in five innings at FHS.
The game saw the Lady Lions collect 14 hits and have one error. Ripley was held to a hit and committed three errors.
Fairfield began the game with two runs in the bottom of the first inning, then they added seven runs in the second. Those innings followed with consecutive three-run innings in the bottom of the third and fourth innings.
Four Lady Lions had two hits each, as Ally Maynard was 2-for-2 with two runs, three RBI, a SAC fly and one HBP.
Rilee Quickle went 2-for-3 with four runs, one RBI and a walk. Jorgia Smith finished 2-for-3 with six RBI, a double and a SAC fly. Ava White finished 2-for-2 with one run, one RBI and a double.
Alyssa Bales finished 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Daphnie Butts was 1-for-1, while teammate Kelsie Crowder finished 1-for-2 with one run, three RBI, a walk and a HBP.
Jorja May ended the game at 1-for-1 with two runs and a walk. Whitlee Morrow was 1-for-1 with two runs, one walk and a steal. Kyla Thomas finished 1-for-2 with one run and a HBP.
Quickle was the winning pitcher, finishing with five innings in the circle, with no earned runs allowed on one hit and no walks with eight strikeouts.
