St. Vincent dePaul Society events

The St. Vincent dePaul Society of St. Mary Catholic Church in Hillsboro wishes to announce their upcoming outreach sessions for the month of April.  

The Outreach sessions are an opportunity to meet with SVdP volunteers to discuss needs for assistance. The sessions will be held on Saturday, April 11 from 11 a.m.-1 pm and on Wednesday, April 22 from 6-7:30 pm. 

The Outreach is held at the St. Mary Parish Hall at 119 E. Walnut St. in Hillsboro. No appointment is necessary. Please bring ID, verification of income, and copies of bills you are seeking help with.  

SVdP typically helps with utility bills, transportation needs, rental assistance, etc. Help is limited to once per year.  For more information, please call or text to 937-205-0919 or email stmsvdp212@gmail.com.

• The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Society is also holding a spaghetti dinner/basket raffle on Sunday, April 26 to raise funds for its charitable work. The dinner will begin at noon on and the and the raffle drawing will take place at 2 p.m. The dinner will be held at the St. Mary Parish Hall, 119 E. Walnut St., Hillsboro. 

Guests will have the opportunity to buy chances on some outstanding gift baskets that include Kings Island tickets, tickets to the Cincinnati Zoo and the Center for Science and Industry (COSI) in Columbus. Everyone is welcome.

Advanced ticket sales are available from any SVdP member for $12, and children under 6 can eat for free. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $15 (children 5 and under will be charged $2 at the door). Come and support the good works of the St. Vincent dePaul Society, which provides over $40,000 of help to local families each year.
