Senior Center recognizes Outstanding Seniors

This year’s Outstanding Senior Citizens are faithful members of the Highland County Senior Citizens Center. 
 They support the center in a variety of ways, volunteering (often without being asked) and participating in many programs and activities. For example, one has donated dozens of his hand-made canes as door prizes, and made the easel that displays the Randy Stroup Award. 
 Another chairs the membership advisory council and helps organize and promote fund raisers for the center. 
 Two were among the first to sign up associate members and get them involved. Another is one of our star quilters and helps the center look more beautiful by maintaining our indoor and outdoor plants. One of their most important attributes is the positive attitude they demonstrate on a daily basis.  We are proud to give the 2010 Outstanding Senior award to: Hugh and Sharon Fenner, Jeanette Fenner Knauff, Ray Fenner and Bud Fenner. Congratulations, but more importantly, thanks for all you do.
