Premier Showmen members compete at Junior Nationals in Nebraska

Three members of the Premier Showmen 4-H Club recently traveled to Nebraska to compete at the National Junior Heifer Show and Junior Nationals, representing Highland County and the state with pride.

Carly Sanders had an outstanding week participating in numerous leadership and educational activities. Carly earned a spot in the prestigious Senior Showmanship Finals, competed in the Senior Fitting Contest, participated in the Dodgeball Tournament, and served as a Maine-Anjou Board Voting Delegate. Her involvement throughout the week showcased her leadership, sportsmanship, and dedication to the livestock industry.

Also representing Premier Showmen were brothers Brayden and Christian Cummings, who enjoyed a successful week in the show ring and contest competitions. Brayden earned several top honors, including Champion Intermediate Fitting Team, 3rd Overall Bred & Owned Chianina Heifer, 10th Overall Intermediate Chianina Showmanship, Division I Maine Angus Champion, and 4th Place Intermediate Salesmanship. His accomplishments reflect countless hours of preparation, hard work, and commitment to his cattle projects. Christian also represented Highland County exceptionally well, earning 4th and 5th place class finishes in strong national competition.

Junior Nationals provide youth with opportunities to develop livestock knowledge, leadership abilities, communication skills, and lifelong friendships with exhibitors from across the country. Participants gain valuable experiences both in and out of the show ring while representing their families, communities, and organizations.

The Premier Showmen 4-H Club congratulates Carly, Brayden and Christian on their many accomplishments and for the outstanding way they represented their club, Highland County, and the state of Ohio. Their dedication, sportsmanship, and success are a testament to the hard work they put into their livestock projects throughout the year.
