Premier Showmen 4-H Club honors local leaders through community service project

The Premier Showmen 4-H Club recently completed a community service project designed to recognize and thank local government officials and community leaders for their dedication and service to Highland County.

The project began with a peppermint candy drive organized by Premier Showmen member Kenley Juillerat and community service officer Dwight Phillip. Through the generosity of club members and supporters, more than 30 pounds of peppermint candies were collected. 

Members worked together to fill decorative candy jars with the peppermints and attached a special tag to each jar that read, “Gover-mint works better because of leaders like you. Thank you for all you do!”

The completed jars were delivered to local government offices and community leaders as a small token of appreciation for the countless hours they devote to serving residents and helping the community thrive. From elected officials and public servants to those who work behind the scenes, the club wanted to recognize the individuals who make a positive difference every day.

Community service is an important part of the 4-H program, teaching youth the value of citizenship, leadership, and giving back to others. Through projects like the Gover-mint Drive, Premier Showmen members learn the importance of showing gratitude and supporting those who help make their community a better place to live, work, and raise a family.

The Premier Showmen 4-H Club is proud of the efforts of Kenley Juillerat and all club members who contributed to the project. Their hard work and generosity helped spread kindness throughout the community while reminding local leaders that their service is appreciated.

The club extends its sincere thanks to all local government officials and community leaders for their commitment, leadership, and dedication to the citizens of Highland County.
