New Petersburg Social Civics Club meets at Buckeye Hills

The May meeting of the New Petersburg Social Civics Club was held at Buckeye Hills Country Club with hostess Patty Detty.

After lunch, president Janet Campbell opened the meeting with members answering roll call by bringing a small recipe book.

Secretary Cora Hamilton read the minutes of the last meeting, and treasurer Vicki Duff gave the treasurer's report.

Thank-you notes were read from the Kathryn Karnes family and Greenfield Area Medical Center for Relay for Life.

Malinda Wells and Phyllis Miller had the program. Malinda gave a book report on "Follow the River," and Phyllis gave a humorous reading of "This Is True, My Friend."

The contest by Cora Hamilton was won by Mary Ann Larkin.

Birthday raffles brought by Vicki Duff, Malinda Wells and Cora Hamilton were won by Janet Lawwell, Verla Hodson, Cora Hamilton and Patty Detty.

Members exchanged recipe books.

Receiving Secret Sister gifts were Chris Tolbert, Wanda Green, Cora Hamilton, Bea Mustard and Debbie Robinson. The hostess gift was won by Vicki Duff.

Members present, along with those mentioned above, were Marion Dodds, Debbie Ellison, Anna Lou Lucas, Glenna Ross and Margaret Crabtree.
