New Petersburg group holds October meeting

The October meeting of the New Petersburg Social Civic Club was held at the Fall Creek Friends Church with hostess Margaret Crabtree. Seventeen members answered roll call by bringing a bag of candy.
Secretary Cora Hamilton read the minutes of the last meeting. Vickie Duff read the treasurer's report.
A donation was taken to send a care package to service men in Iraq. Cora Hamilton read a letter from Job and Family Services, and a donation was made to the organization.
Debbie Ellison and Debbie Robinson were auctioneers for our talent sale.
Birthday raffles brought by Chris Tolbert, Crabtree, Ruth Ann Watts, Wanda Green, Bea Mustard and Robinson were won by Tolbert, Ellison, Marion Dodds, Crabtree, Patty Detty and Glenna Ross.
Receiving Secret Sister gifts were Janet Lawwell, Robinson, Crabtree, Phyllis Miller, Dodds, Ellison and Green.
The candy brought by members was donated to the Rainsboro Methodist Church for Halloween.
Hostess gifts were won by Malinda Wells, Ellison, Hamilton and guest Jan Bahnsen.
Those present and not mentioned above were Mary Ann Larkin and Anna Lou Lucas.
