Lisa Rhonemus of the Fantastics 4-H Club has been selected to receive the 2011 Mary E. Fisher Outstanding Family and Consumer Science Member Award.
The Mary E. Fisher Award is given in honor of Mary E. Fisher, a dedicated 4-H advisor for many years, who gave willingly and generously of her time and talents to the 4-H Family and Consumer Sciences program.
The award is to recognize the 4-H member who has experience in a variety of Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) projects. It is to encourage the 4-H member to try new experiences and gain knowledge in more than one area of FCS projects while developing his/her leadership skills.
The award is donated by the Mary E. Fisher family, who could not be present this year to present the award. Therefore, seven of the past recipients were present to be recognized when the award was presented to Lisa at the 4-H Style Revue during the Highland County Fair.
Lisa is the daughter of Neil and Diane Rhonemus of Martinsville and a freshman at Concordia University in Michigan.
