The Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene will host a celebration of the birth of Jesus with a live nativity presentation on Saturday, Dec. 9 and Sunday, Dec. 10 from 6-8 p.m. each evening.

The evening play will include a cast of 20 to 25 people and live animals, as guests will hear the sharing of the first Christmas story.

Mary and Joseph, along with angels, shepherds, wise men, a sheep, donkey, and calf will appear in four scenes running continuously for 20 minutes. The play starts when Gabriel announces to Mary that she will become the mother of Jesus.

Follow Mary and Joseph as they journey to Bethlehem, and Jesus is born in a stable. Angels appear to shepherds announcing the birth of Jesus. Wise men come to worship and bring gifts to Jesus.

Afterward, visitors are welcome inside the church building for free soup and hot dogs, crafts and photos. All are welcome. The Nazarene Church is located at 8230 U.S. 50 east in Hillsboro.
