The Ohio Farm Bureau Federation recently held leadership seminars in each region of Ohio. The purpose of these seminars was to train representatives of the various county Farm Bureau boards of trustees and update them on issues of importance to agriculture. The regional conference for southwest Ohio was held at Xenia on Jan. 26. The delegates first enjoyed a buffet dinner. The general session then focused on important political issues that can and will affect agriculture.
Following the general session, the delegates split into seminars that focused upon key topics such as the duties of county presidents and vice presidents, dealing with animal and other governmental issues and public relations programs at the county level. Those attending from Highland County included Steve Dillon, Sherri Helterbrand, Jim Faust, Wes Ellis, Brett Barton, Lindsey Caldwell, Andy Caldwell and Organizational Director Heather Utter.[[In-content Ad]]
