HDH Foundation hosts Family Fun Day, 5k walk/run Oct. 8

This year's Highland District Hospital Foundation Family Fun Day and Inaugural 5K Run/Walk will be held Saturday, Oct. 8 at Rocky Fork State Park's North Shore Activity Center.
Pre-registration is preferred, and the deadline is Sept. 24. Registration on the day of the event will be from 9-9:50 a.m. The walk/run will begin at 10 a.m.
The cost is $20 per entrant and includes race and T-shirt. (Additional T-shirts are $10 each and donations to the Foundation are accepted.)
There will be a free children’s race following the 5K Run/Walk for ages 10 and under.
Checks may be made payable to the Highland District Hospital Foundation, and mailed to: Cathy Jones, Highland District Hospital, 1275 N. High St., Hillsboro 45133.

'Night at the Oscars' set for Nov. 12
• In addition, tickets are on sale now for a chance to win an Ohio State University-themed golf cart.
Tickets can be purchased for $20 from any Highland District Hospital Foundation Board member, at the HDH Gift Shop, or by calling (937) 393-6534 or 393-6360.
The drawing will be held at the 2011 Gala ("Night at the Oscars") which will be held Nov. 12 at the Elks Lodge in Hillsboro. The HDH Oscar party includes dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions, hourly split-the-pot, and more.
The Foundation looks forward to an evening of fun and excitement on Nov. 12. However, you need not be present to win the golf cart.
