I love fall! The lovely colors, warm sunny days, apples, pears and pumpkins all join to make a beautiful season (and also some yummy pies). If you need some inspiration for fall décor or baking pies, we're the place to go. Come on in and check it out.

Also, check out these upcoming events:

 • Oct. 1 - Seasons Readings Christmas Club begins. Children age 3 - grade 6 may participate in this fun holiday event. Every time a child checks out and reads five books, they get a dollar of Merry Money which they can spend on Dec. 3 at our Christmas Shop. They will have two months to read and collect Merry Money. They then can buy gifts for all those on their shopping list.

• Oct. 10 - Library will be closed for Columbus Day.

 • Oct. 13 - 6 p.m. - Kevin Williams, editor of "The Amish Cook" and co-author of several Amish Cook books, will join us to talk about his books and do a Q/A session. He will be bringing his new fiction book, "Rebecca at the Beach," for signing and selling. Plan to join us for a great evening.

 • Oct. 18 - 5 - 8 p.m. - CPR Class - Debbie Hensley will be the instructor for this class. Class size is limited to eight people over the age of 8. Please pre-register for this class. It is free, but a certification card will cost $3.

 • Oct. 19 - 5 p.m. - Our adult book discussion group meets monthly on the third Wednesday. The book chosen for this month is "The Forgotten Garden" by Kate Morton. Stop in and pick up a copy and join us. Everyone welcome.

 • Oct. 31 - 6:30 p.m. - Genealogy Club meets. Each month on the last Monday evening, this group meets to learn more about genealogy searching. This month will be a field trip to the LDS Family History Center in Chillicothe. Dr. Joseph Heer, director of the center, will be the host. The group will meet at the library at 5:30 to carpool. Bring your laptops or information for your genealogy problems, and there will be help with your research. Everyone invited.

 • Storytime - Tuesdays - 11 a.m. - for ages 2-4. Stories, crafts, music, just lots of fun: plan to join us.

 • Drop-in crafts for kids - Check out the monthly crafts that kids can do when they visit the library!
