‘The Eyes of Freedom: Lima Company Memorial’ visiting Roberts Centre

The Holiday Inn at the Roberts Centre in Wilmington is hosting The Eyes of Freedom: Lima Company Memorial June 30-July 3 in celebration of Independence Day. 

Visitors can see the exhibit in the hotel lobby alongside Silent Battle, a sculpture created to recognize the struggles many veterans encounter when returning home from service.

The Washington Court House branch of the U.S. Veterans Motorcycle Club will conduct a flag raising ceremony July 1 at 6 p.m. This will take place at Ralph’s American Grill, directly adjacent to the Holiday Inn at the Roberts Centre. The flag raising event will coincide with Bike Night, in partnership with Harvey-Davidson of Xenia. See below for the full four-day schedule.

Visiting Hours:
• June 30, 4-8 p.m.  
• July 1, 10 a.m.-8 p.m., flag raising/Bike Night begins - 6 p.m.
• July 2, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
• July 3, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
         
The Holiday Inn at the Roberts Centre is located at 123 Gano Road, Wilmington, just off Interstate-71, exit 50.

First unveiled in May 2008, The Eyes of Freedom: Lima Company Memorial is a traveling tribute dedicated to the service and sacrifice of U.S. military personnel. Featuring life-size murals of 22 fallen Marines and one Navy Corpsman, this exhibit is a reminder of all who answer our nation’s call.
