Eckles serving on Nationwide Children’s Hospital Development Board

Lillian Van Zant Eckles, a 2017 Hillsboro High School graduate, serves on the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Development Board.
Eckles recently had the opportunity to meet with NASCAR driver/broadcaster, businessman and philanthropist Dale Earnhardt Jr. — who, along with his wife, supports the hospital through the Dale and Amy Earnhardt Fund — as they prepare for this year’s Woody Hayes Celebrity Golf Classic. This is the Board’s main fundraising event of the year in Columbus.
According to https://www.nationwidechildrens.org, “The Development Board is a dynamic group of Columbus-area business professionals who are committed to raising funds to support various programs at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
“The Development Board recruits vibrant professionals for membership September through November annually. While the membership process does require a referral from an existing member, there are numerous volunteer opportunities that allow for membership interaction and that provide insight to Development Board’s fundraising events and activities.
“The Development Board supports Nationwide Children's Hospital through several events throughout the year.
“The Woody Hayes Celebrity Classic is the signature fundraising event of the Development Board of Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The outing functions as a four-person team golf scramble with assigned tee times. Golfers enjoy a day of golf that includes breakfast, lunch, on-course snacks and drinks.”
