The December meeting of Waw-wil-a-way Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution was opened at the Highland House Museum with singing Christmas carols accompanied by Mary Ann Furguson on the piano.
Charleene Tarr and the Children of the American Revolution served a delicious and beautifully presented brunch. Members were asked to report volunteer hours and committee work for the state and national reports coming up the first of the year.
After the business meeting, Tarr gave a presentation on the use of gloves and the fascinating meanings of the way they were used in colonial days. There were many messages to be learned from the way a lady wore or carried her gloves.
