Historical Society
• On March 17 at 7:30 p.m., the Highland County Historical Society's
Heritage Music Series will feature Celtic music for St. Patrick's Day.
Social hour will start at 7:30 with appetizers and punch with music program

• The Highland County Historical Society's annual St. Patrick's Day brunch

The Waynoka WaterSports Club will be sponsoring an Ohio Boating

Free tax help and preparation service, run by volunteers, will be

All local women are welcome to attend the Danville Church of Christ Area

Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission’s (OVRDC) annual Full
Commission Meeting and Election of Officers will be held on Thursday, March
29 in Brown County at the Southern Hills Career & Technical Center, 9193
Hamer Road, Georgetown. Registration and social time will be held at 5:30
p.m. with the meeting beginning at 6 p.m.
OVRDC Full Commission members have received registration information and

kindergarten registration
Kindergarten registration for students living in the Lynchburg-Clay
School District will be held on Wednesday, April 4 in the Lynchburg-Clay
Elementary building. Students with last names beginning with A-L will
register from 9-11:30 a.m. Students with last names beginning with M-Z will
register from 12:30-3 p.m.
In order to enroll, the parents must provide the following:
• An official birth certificate. This can be acquired from the health
department in the county of your child’s birth. Your child must be five
years of age on or before Aug. 1, 2012.
• An up-to-date immunization record. The state laws of Ohio require that
certain immunizations must be completed before the child enters school.
• Your child’s Social Security card.
• Proof of residence. A bill that is mailed to your house is acceptable. A
driver’s license is not acceptable.
• Custody papers, if applicable.
• Driver’s license or photo ID.
During registration, your child does not need to be present.
Parents/guardians will be selecting a time on April 18 or 19, at which time
students need to be screened for hearing and vision. The student will also
have fingerprinting done, complete a physical and meet with one of the
kindergarten teachers.

SWCD tree seedling sale
Now is the perfect time to start planning for your spring plantings by
ordering tree seedlings through the Highland Soil and Water Conservation
District’s annual tree seedling sale. This year’s sale will offer hardy
seedlings, as well as wildflower seed packets and white vinyl flags. There
will be a variety of tree seedling packets offered on a first come, first
serve basis so be sure to get your order in early. Order forms can be picked
up at the Highland SWCD office located at 514 Harry Sauner Road, Suite 2 in
