CMH Gift Shop holiday open house Nov. 9

The staff and volunteers of the Clinton Memorial Hospital Gift Shop are officially beginning the holiday season by hosting an open house on Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
“We will showcase our holiday merchandise and will serve hot Wassail and samples of various dips and spreads perfect for holiday gift giving and entertaining,” says Peggy Bennett, who manages the gift shop. “There will be opportunities to register for prizes that will be awarded throughout the day.”
The gift shop is also sponsoring a Holiday Silent Auction Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 14-16. Items available are holiday wreaths, centerpieces, trees, gift baskets and one-of-a-kind, hand decorated holiday items.
The CMH Gift Shop will also expand its hours for the Holiday Season. For the Black Friday Sale on Friday, Nov. 25, the shop will open at 7 a.m. and it will also be open on Saturdays and Sundays through Sunday, Dec. 18, from noon to 4 p.m. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The gift shop offers the traditional wares of hospital gift shops such as cards, fresh flowers and balloons along with personal accessories such as jewelry, handbags and scarves. There are candles and other home decor items available as well as stuffed animals and gifts for new babies. The gift shop sells coffee, soft drinks, cold sandwiches and salads along with a variety ice cream, snacks and candy.
There is a small dining area in the CMH atrium just outside the gift shop for patrons to relax and enjoy a beverage or snack.
