Center hosts indoor flea market Oct. 9

We’d like to thank everyone who turned out Saturday to support our first hog roast. Porky’s Pickle BBQ Catering handled the roasting duties and did a wonderful job. Thanks also to Crestwood Care Center for their contributions; they supplied buns, cups and volunteers in addition to helping to defray the expenses of the event.
We’d also like to express our appreciation to the Evans Boys (Steve and sons, Luke and Jimmy) for providing the beautiful music. We raised over $600 for the center, and hope to make this an annual event.
Thanks to all who made it a success.
Giant indoor flea market
Be sure and stop in for our Fall Flea Market Saturday, Oct. 9 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. All kinds of items will be on sale, including antiques, collectibles, clothes, books, tools, toys, jewelry, glassware, decorations, house wares, seasonal items and more. There are still a few tables available. Table rental is $10 per table for members and $15 per table for non-members. If you’d like to donate items to the Center for the sale, drop off donations any time between 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call the center at 393-4745 for information or to reserve a table.
Flu Shots
There will be two flu shot clinics this fall at the Highland County Senior Center. Both are open to the public. The first is Monday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and is held by CVS Pharmacy. Cost for the shots is $25, but they can bill Medicare Part B, Ohio Medicaid and some private insurance.
The second clinic will be done by the Highland County Health Department, and the date is Monday, Oct. 18 from 3-6 p.m. Cost is $20, and they can bill Medicare Part B, Ohio Medicaid and Aetna or Humana Medicare Supplement.[[In-content Ad]]
