Brush & Palette Art Guild to host show at SSCC

   "Bag Art" is the theme of this year's 53rd annual Brush & Palette Art Guild Show held at Southern State Community College's Hillsboro campus on Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27, 2010. It is the intent of the Guild to share the artwork of many artist, both non-professional and professional.

   Gerry Enrico will serve as our 2010 Judge.  Gerry honed his artistic talents from his elementary and high school years in the Philippines where he was born. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Northern Philippines in 1987. He has numerous awards in prestigious national art contests in his native country. Mr. Enrico moved to Palm Springs, Calif. in 1990, where he has become well-known for his artwork. Gerrry has won major art competitions in Palm Springs and is a member of the Artist Council of the Palm Springs Desert Museum. His work has been recognized by the Portrait Society of America, of which he is now a member.
Today his work flourishes throughout the river valley community. He is a member of the Tri-State Art Association. In competitions in the tri-state area, his work has earned awards ranging from "People's Choice" to "Best of Show." Mr. Enrico offers classes in the following locations: Huntington Museum of Art, Huntington, West Virginia; art studios in Pomeroy, Ohio and Charleston, West Virginia; Lakin Correctional For Women, Point Pleasant, Ohio and The Gallery At 409, Point Pleasant, Ohio where he is an in-house artist.
   The Brush & Palette Art Guild hopes that you enjoy the show and will continue to visit us annually. We desire "to keep alive an interest in art, and provide an atmosphere and incentive for continuing growth of its members."
