Trump is playing 3-D chess while everyone else is playing checkers

I used to think I had high standards. That was before Jan. 20, 2025. The rapidity of action and the high standards of the second Trump Administration takes my breath away.
Since he left office in 2021, Trump has not been spending his time on the beach. It is obvious he has gathered some smart folks around him, and they have been planning.
It would be impossible in one column to list all the things President Trump has started.
Here are a few:
• Unleashing American energy.
• Restoring freedom of speech and ending federal censorship.
• Regulatory freeze.
• Government hiring freeze.
• Withdrawing the United States from the World Health Organization.
• Declaring a national emergency at the southern border of the United States.
• And many, many more.
President Trump wants to spend the taxpayer’s money as if it were his own. He wants to put America first. He wants to protect America. Aren’t these things everyone wants?
Meanwhile, his opponents and distractors are screaming bloody murder. And while they are doing that, he’s moving on to the next issue.
Second week out, Trump has had two difficulties. The first was the cutting off of funds distribution. Although this was a stumble, I think it puts everyone on notice that nothing is off the table. We will see this issue again.
The second one was the plane crash at Washington National. Trump brought up DEI. Maybe not a good idea, but I get it. The government has been running on low performance standards for a long time.
Remember George Bush’s fiascos with FEMA? And the low standards go back further than that.
And while I am on Trump’s case for a minute, I’ll dump a little bit more. President Trump: Quit selling watches, sneakers and crypto. You are not a barker at a carnival. These things demean you and the office of president.
Otherwise, continue on…Make America Great Again.
And by the way, keep going for Greenland. We already used it as part of our defense system in the past. During World War II, we extended our sovereign offshore protection to 40 miles around Greenland via executive order from President Roosevelt. It is time to take a look at it again.

Trump couldn’t spell 3-D if you spotted him the 3. I am heartened however, to see that you at least acknowledged what you call “difficulties”. Most of his supporters won’t even go that far. But if we are making lists that are too long to thoroughly discuss, let’s include the list of laws, including clear violations of the Constitution, that he has broken along the way. You mentioned the funding fiasco but let’s not forget attempting to eradicate the 14th Amendment by fiat. A move that prompted the Reagan appointed federal judge that blocked it, to say that it was the “clearest violation of the Constitution he had ever seen in over 40 years on the bench”.

Publisher, I saw the Mark Levin video. And I respect and understand Levin's well-researched and common-sense analysis. The Question is: will Brad and David play the Levin video and have an open mind to the Constitutionality of the mis-guided premise of birthright citizenship? Here's a point. If my with-child mum happened to be in Canada visiting the Niagra Falls, and if I happened to be to be delivered early before she could make it back to a NY hospital, I wouldn't be, and I hope no one would say I was a Canadian. Simply because I popped out under the Maple Leaf...
Trump abilities
I find it hilarious that those with TDS imply Trump is dumb. It seems as though he has had the skill to amass a fair amount of wealth, not as much as Musk for sure, but he has not gone hungry. I feel your pain.
Cognitive and verbal abilities
Yes Jim. With the past 5 years of Biden's mean, mumbling, mush; And Karma Kamala's word seizure salads: it is very funny and pitiful, at the same time, that Bradley tries to make fun of President Trump cognitive where-with-all. (We're playing Game 7 of the World Series. Bradley is playing stick ball in Thailand.) It kind of proves your point that President Trump has an advance strategy to reform our nation. While the progressives are still crying "racist!" "russian collusion!" "insurrection!" The progressive way and the RINO appeasements have not worked lo' these 20 years. It's time for real reform and real cuts to the expansion of the federal government. For the life of me, I want the fiscal year 2001 federal budget propose. See if Congress balks or rejoices...

Trump is a "carnival barker", a "huckster" or a "con-man" if you will. How did he get rich? I think it was the great carnival barker PT Barnum who said, "there is a sucker born every minute" and Trump supporters prove it. Of course, it helps if your Dad gives you tens of millions of dollars to begin with. But is he dumb? About 10 days ago, in a press conference for the entire world to see, he threatened Spain with a 100% tariff saying "it is a BRICS country. Do you know what that means?" end quote. No Donald, do you know what that means? There are ten countries in the BRICS economic alliance, none of which are Spain. Now you or I might be forgiven for not knowing that. But you or I would not go in front of a bunch of reporters and spout off such a statement without knowing what we are talking about. For the President of the United States to do it is just embarrassing for our whole country. The Wall Street Journal editorial board just said that his tariffs "the dumbest trade wars in history". And of course, he has been called "a (expletive) moron", a "dope", "an idiot", "unhinged", "the understanding of a 5th or 6th grader", "dumb as (expletive)" and "the intelligence of a kindergartner". Were they "never Trumpers"? No, they were all cabinet secretaries, economic advisers and Chiefs of Staff that he hired. And before you say that they were also people he fired, what does it say about his vetting process if they were unqualified. But to be sure, they were all far more qualified than any of his current selections. ............... On the 14th Amendment, section 1 clearly states, in its entirety "ALL PERSONS BORN (emphasis mine) or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." Where is the wiggle room in that? It sounds pretty unambiguous to me. But of course you can choose to believe the noted constitutional scholar Mark Levin if you choose. I'll stick with the federal judiciary.

.... Publisher, Article 1, clause 8, section 4 is also clear and I have no dispute with it whatsoever. But it is about "naturalized" citizenship. It has nothing to do with "birthright" citizenship.

You might look up the origin of the 14th Amendment: Passed by the Senate on June 8, 1866, and ratified two years later, on July 9, 1868, the 14th Amendment granted citizenship to all persons "born or naturalized in the United States," including formerly enslaved people, and provided all citizens with “equal protection under the laws,” extending the provisions of the Bill of Rights to the states. It also grants Congress the authority to enforce the amendment. Thus, the senators have the right to introduce their bill. Let's face it, there have been foreign diplomats and students who may have given birth within the U.S., but their child remained a citizen of the parents' home nation. The amendment clearly does not make an exception for illegal border crossers. They are law-breakers.
I have spent my adult life working with people like Trump
I have worked for project developers most of my adult life. A large majority are honest people, with a few dishonest thrown in. I understand their personality and I am not afraid of them. I have known several who have even gone bankrupt and bounced back. These are the kinds of people that build America on the top end and make real jobs for the masses, not phoney jobs like those created by politicans spending our tax money. Nearly every major company, the place where we get real jobs, was started by someone like Trump.
Actions vs words
Lets not forget that Trump fired 17 inspectors general who were tasked with running investigations into waste, fraud, and abuse in federal agencies. I wonder why?
Or the so called "buy out" email my daughter, (a Nurse Practitioner at a VA hospital) received out of the blue titled '"Fork in the Road". The same e-mail sent to all air traffic controllers the day before the Blackhawk took out a passenger liner.
Or the release of billions of cubic feet of water into the San Joaquin Valley with about one hour warning, endangering lives, crops and millions of dollars in farm equipment, and eventually flowing into the dry lake bed of Tulare, 175 miles north of Los Angeles. The water that was being stored to irrigate the vegetables and fruit trees this coming summer. That should drive down prices. And despite what he said, no troops were involved.
Or that Mexico provides approximately 69% of U.S. vegetable imports and 51% of fresh fruit imports. I'm sure prices on tomatos, lettuce, onions, oranges, strawberries, bell peppers, etc. will plummet this week with the 25% tariffs.
Trumps not playing 3-D chess, he's playing tic-tac-toe. And down on Harry Sauner a dozen grade A large white eggs are now $6.19.

You crack me up Publisher, and you are right, I wasn't squawking about egg prices during the Biden administration, but someone sure was.
I'm crowing about it now because after years of complaining, it turns out this administration has no more control over egg prices than the previous one. But I'm sure somehow it's Joe's fault, the Deep States fault,, the medias fault or the immigrants fault. H5N1? The yokes on them. "One day, it's like a miracle -- it will disappear." And big strong men, with tears in their eyes will say "Sir, Mr. President, Sir? No more eggs sir. We're tired of eggs sir!"

We've been waiting a long time for a Pres. like Trump
It is refreshing to have a real reformer in office. Not a career, slick-talking, politician that the media fawns over.
Speaking of the news media, it's also nice to see President Trump call out the biased press on their biases.
What is so offensive about cutting federal spending? What is so terrible about enforcing immigration laws? Why shouldn't we have a Defense Dept. that solely focuses on defense?
If you are looking for a loophole ....
..... that's not it. What do you think would happen if a lawyer for an undocumented client showed up in court and tried to claim that, under the 14th Amendment, his client is not subject to the jurisdiction of the United States or that court? Fortunately, you don't have to guess as it has been tried on numerous occasions and has never once held up. ........ Yes, there is a carve-out specifically for children of foreign diplomats born here that they are not subject to the jurisdiction of the US and enjoy diplomatic immunity. But that isn't what we are talking about is it. While the impetus for the 14th Amendment was post-Civil War reconstruction, nothing in the verbiage limits it to slaves or former slaves. And yes, Congress has certain powers but there is a lawful process for changing the Constitution and the President has no role in that process other than signing a bill after the ratification process has been completed. And that is all the people demand, just follow the law. Unfortunately that seems to be too much trouble for Trump. The real shame is that seemsto be OK with his followers. With their cheerleading we are swiftly moving to a dictatorship faster than anyone anticipated. And you are blaming the very people who have been warning you for years that this is what he is about.

My legal opinion
Since Brad plays a Constitutional lawyer in the paper, I also want to. Culpable mental state is used in a variety of ways. It's the clear intention of a person when they commit a crime. Culpable mental states are used mostly with the varying degrees of criminal homicide: Purposefully, Knowingly, Recklessly, or Carelessly. If an illegal immigrant woman purposely or knowingly delivers her child inside the U.S. with the intention of that child automatically becoming a citizen, then that practice does not fall under the scope of the 14th Amendment. That's a type of fraud and the "anchor baby" status kicks in along with a slew of federal goody handouts. The birthright citizenship needs to stop, because that unforeseen loophole has been exploited to the nth degree.
I have a friend that was born on a military installation in one of the former Confederate States. His parents are both from Ohio, but his dad was legally posted in the South. He claims to be a Southerner, but is he really??? We almost are getting to a point where anyone can transition into an American, just on a whim and feelings.

If a desperate person from another country pays thousands of dollars to a coyote, or to a smuggler, to sneak into the US, wouldn't it be cheaper and safer if this person had the patience to wait for the legal immigration process to run its course? Or is George Soros and the Democrats funding and signaling for all-comers to swarm across the border to create a crisis and a new voting bloc? I think I just nailed it, for the um-teenth time. But the Left will never admit their master plan of... who knows what. As long as progressives have untold wealth and power to control the masses. The rest of the real Americans are independent individuals. We love our freedoms, our private property, and our families and friends; and we'll stand our ground.

Until Brad, or any other progressive, explains this reality in the area of human-caused global warming, I will always be skeptical when a progressive tries to lecture us on the Constitution, on the Bill of Rights and the other Amendments. What's next? "This 13-year-old identifies as a 19-year-old so "they" should be allowed to vote!"
