Ohio National Guard’s 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team returning from overseas deployment
The Ohio Army National Guard will be welcoming home elements of the 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team throughout August, after a nearly nine-month deployment in support of U.S. Central Command efforts to build regional stability.
More than 1,800 soldiers of the 37th IBCT have provided direct support to Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve in critical areas including advising, assisting and enabling partners and coalition nations in establishing and maintaining a long-term security cooperation framework. The combined joint task force currently is composed of personnel from 80 countries, working collaboratively to increase the capacity of regional partners in security and stability.
The 37th IBCT, headquartered in Columbus, comprises National Guard units from Ohio, Michigan and South Carolina.
