Wanda Laverne Brewer Wiederhold App, 76, of Martinsville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022 at her home.

She was born Nov. 11, 1946 in Rogers, Ky., the daughter of the late James Verl and Sylvia Emmer (Sparks) Brewer.

Wanda went to the flea market on a weekly basis and set up on the weekends where she sold a variety of paperback books and glassware at her shop, "Wanda's Books." She enjoyed yard sales and going to auctions. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed gardening and raising flowers.

Surviving are her son, Richard (Lisa) Hipke; daughters, Sandra (Jerry) Quigley, Dianne (Ernie) Gillis II and Cynthia (Dave) Pearl; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Zach) Dotson, Emily Poppaw, Amanda Quigley, Jerrod (Sunni) Quigley, Jaysen (Alex) Oeder, Jade Hipke, Zennia (Isaac) Cobos, Ernie Ray Gillis III and Samanth Pearl; great-grandchildren, Addison Sylvia Deemer, Tobias and Kaden Dotson, TJ and Destinee Drake, Logan Johnson, Avalynn Faul, Evie Quigley, MacKenzie, Mackayli, MacKarlyn, MacKamdon and Kaysen Oeder and Maverick and Lorelai Hipke. Also surviving is her longtime companion, Edward Taylor; brothers, Samuel Curtis (Daisy) Brewer, Vernon (Cathy) Brewer, Harry Elmer (Ruth) Brewer and Lloyd Brewer; sisters, Marcella Yeatter, Carol Jones and Geneva (Phil) Trimble; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Bernard Wiederhold; her second husband, Victor Leroy App; and an infant brother, Gerald Brewer.

Services will be noon Thursday, Dec. 1 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington, with Pastor Dale McCamish officiating. Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington, where she will be buried with her first husband.

Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30 at the funeral home.
