Thomas E. McCarty, 73, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, Jan. 5, 2026 at Edgewood Manor of Greenfield.

He was born May 29, 1952, in Parris Island, S.C., the son of Fred and Lenora (Gray) McCarty.

He traveled and was a carnival employee.

He is survived by one brother, Fred (Cathy) McCarty of Newark; one sister, Sebrina Lundquist of New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Timothy McCarty, Christopher McCarty and Russell McCarty; one nephew, Samuel Lee Lundquist; and both parents.

Memorial service will be noon Saturday, April 11 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Keith Perkins officiating.

Visitation will be 11 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 11 at the funeral home.
