Sandra Marie Pinkerton

Sandra Marie Pinkerton, a beloved wife, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Jan. 27, 2026 at the age of 73.

Born on March 25, 1952, in Hillsboro, Sandy was the daughter of the late Ralph E. "Curly" and Shirley Marie (Vanzant) Mathews.

A proud 1970 graduate of East Clinton High School, Sandy pursued her passion for beauty and creativity by attending Ohio State Cosmetology, where she became a skilled beautician. She later transitioned to a successful career in manufacturing, dedicating 28 years of her life to Huhtamaki, an experience she cherished for the camaraderie and teamwork it fostered.

Sandy's life was defined by her unwavering love for her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Gerald Pinkerton; brothers, Greg (Nikki) Mathews, Ben (Kay) Mathews and Gary (Carol) Mathews; as well as her brothers-in-law, Frank, Bruce, and Sam (Cindy) Pinkerton. She was a doting step-grandmother to Hailey (Cody) McClure, Kaitlin (Dilan) Faulconer, and Jordan Stout; and a beloved great-grandmother to Addy, Weston, Bentley, and Bodie; special friend, Lisa Lewis, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Sandy's warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a step-son, Jeremy Scott Pinkerton; and a sister-in-law, Sue Pinkerton.

According to Sandy's request, no visitation or services will be held.
