Robert “Rob” Neil Wintrow

Robert “Rob” Neil Wintrow, 73, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 24, 2026.

He was born April 25, 1952 in Troy, the son of the late William R. and Lillian (McCready) Wintrow.

Rob took great pride in his work as an electrical lineman, a career he truly loved and one he approached with unwavering commitment. Rob worked for American Electric Power (AEP) for 26 years and retired from South Central Power in 2019. Rob was not one to shy away from hard work; in fact, he embraced it, to ensure he could keep the lights on in his community. His work often required him to be on call, and he missed many family dinners and activities to ensure that others had electricity, an example of his selflessness and deep sense of responsibility. For 45 years, Rob was a member of the Masonic Lodge and respected all that the organization stood for. Outside of work and service, Rob found peace in the quiet moments, especially in watching and feeding the birds.

Rob is survived by his companion of 22 years, Marilyn Rosselott; his daughter, Megan (Clester Oda) Wintrow; grandchildren, Colette Wintrow and Lilly (Rey Galan) Wintrow; stepdaughter, Kathryn Willson; and siblings, Linda (Steve) Erickson of Conway, Ark., William Richard Wintrow Jr. of Port Richey, Fla. and Scott (Deby) Wintrow of Tipp City; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ginger Wintrow.

A gathering for family and friends will take place on Thursday, April 30 at 2 p.m. until time of memorial service at 3 p.m. at Turner & Son Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made in Rob’s name to S.A.T.H-KAMP Dovetail, C/O Linda Allen, 5350 W. New Market Road, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133. For more information or to leave an online condolence for the family, please visit, www.turnerfuneralhomes.cc.
