Robert Paul Peck

Robert Paul Peck, 93, of New Holland, passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday, March 19, 2025. 

He was born Oct. 28, 1931 in the family home where he lived most of his life.   

He was a son of the late Paul Gladstone and Mary Ellen Tarbill Peck.

Bob was a graduate of Atlanta High School, and he also attended Ohio State University. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War veteran. He was a lifelong farmer and a lifelong member of the Atlanta United Methodist Church. Bob served as a Perry Township trustee. He was also an inspector for the Pickaway County Weights and Measures. Bob was a member of the Arthur St. Clair Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. His proudest achievement was his family.  

Bob married the former Dianne Steinhauser on Sept. 6, 1959, and she survives.
 
Also surviving are their four children, James Robert Peck of Clarksburg, Nancy Peck Detty (Tim) of Kingston, Carol Peck Brown (Phil) of Moro, Ill. and Paul Richard Peck (Kelly) of New Holland; three grandchildren, Emma Brown, Robert Brown and Nick Detty; a special nephew, John Peck of Wilmington, N.C.;  and other family members. 

Bob was preceded in death by his sister, June Bowman; and his brother, John Peck. 
 
Services will be at the Atlanta United Methodist Church, 25960 S.R. 207, in Atlanta at 1 p.m. Monday, March 24, with Pastor Serena Wolfe officiating. He will be laid to rest in Brown’s Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg. Relatives and friends can visit at the church on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to the Atlanta United Methodist Church.
