Robert (Bob) Warren Carroll
Robert (Bob) Warren Carroll, 84, of Chillicothe, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026 after 43 years of loving his wife, Gloria Dean (nẻe) Kempton.
Bob was born March 27, 1942 the son of Delbert Foster Carroll and Ruth (nẻe) Giffin in Bainbridge, where he grew up on the family farm.

Bob served as a maintenance man for the Ross County commissioners for many years, retiring in 2005. Throughout his life, Bob was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed golfing and riding his motorcycle. He was a very patient and skilled carpenter; you name it, he could build it. He was a life member of the Chillicothe Moose Lodge 1626. He also held memberships with both the Ross Co. Conservation League and Chillicothe Eagles.
He loved his family and friends, never declining the opportunity to help anyone. In his later years, if he wasn’t home watching his westerns, Nascar, or on his porch watching the trains go by, you could find him having his coffee at Frisch’s Big Boy. So many memories, he will carry forever.
He is survived by his loving wife; two sisters, Bessie Morris, of Springfield and Mary Hill, of Tipp City; sons and daughters, Scott (Lisa) Carroll, of Ft. Myers, Fla., Carl Hardesty, of Chillicothe, Deanita Jean (Reg) Carroll, of Chillicothe, Mathew (Tamra) Clifton, of Clarksburg, and Grant Clifton Sr., of Circleville; grandchildren, Krystal Carroll, Shane Mills (Brittany), Kayla Hardesty, Natasha (Nate) Hart, Amber Clifton, Cassandra (Jordan) Wonderleigh, Travis (Brook) Carroll, Kara Carroll, Chase (Cierra) Carroll, Chelsea (Logan) Groves, Nicole (Colby) Scurlock, Grant (Norma) Clifton Jr, Christyn (Jerry) Hunt, Deana (Jim) Blake; and great-grandchildren, Andrew, Braxton, Corbin, Charlee, Cami Jo, Aubree, Leslie, Kaden, Timothy, Isaac, Alysa, Parker, Payton, Carter, Colton Robert, Calli, Cami Jean, Amelia, Philip James, Justin, Ema, Georgia, and Jerzi.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by both of his brothers, Albert Foster Carroll and Frank William Carroll; brother-in-law, Fred Morris; daughter, Bobbilyn Hardesty; stepson, Gary Dean Vandermark; and grandson, Ryan Hardesty.
