Richard Duggins, 77, of Wilmington, passed away Friday, Oct. 14, 2022 at home.
 
He was born April 24, 1945 in Wilmington, the son of the late James Francis and Lucille (Hampton) Duggins.

On Dec. 29, 1963 in Wilmington, he married Christina (Teboe) Duggins, who survives.
 
Richard retired as the owner/operator of the Duggins Painting and Wallpapering Company after over 50 years of service. He was a member of the St. Columbkille Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife of 59 years, other surviving family members are his children, Sheila (Robert) Runyon of Lebanon, Rodney (Christa) Duggins of Wilmington, Vince (Angela) Duggins of Wilmington and Rebecca (Bryan) Yerian of Wilmington; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jerry (Linda) Duggins, John Duggins, Gary (Mary) Duggins, Cheyenne (Dee) Duggins, Jimmy (Judy) Duggins and Melodie (Bob) DeBoard; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters-, Rex Duggins, Fred Duggins, Mike Duggins, Robert Duggins, Betty Leavitt and Ruth Ann Hibbs.
 
Prayers will be said Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022 at 10:10 a.m. at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street, Wilmington, followed by the mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Columbkille Catholic Church with Fr. Bernard J. Weldishofer officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington.
 
Friends will be received Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 4-7 p.m. at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.

Contributions in Richard's memory may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.
