Nancy Kay Graves, 78, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, Oct. 31, 2022 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.
She was born Sept. 28, 1944 in Glouster, the daughter of the late James S. and Edna Ruth Cole Gibbs.
Nancy and her husband Richard owned and operated Highland County staples: South Point Restaurant, Hickory House Restaurant, Magee’s Restaurant and Nancy’s Catering. She was a 1962 graduate of Simon Kenton High School, received her associate degree from the Columbus Business School and was a member of the Hillsboro First Presbyterian Church. Nancy was a devoted and loving wife, mother and a very dedicated grandmother. She was a member of Altrusa and the Elks Ladies Golf Association, as well as an active supporter of the Highland County 4-H.
She is survived by her husband, Richard, whom she married Oct. 7, 1967; one son, Todd (Alicia) Graves of Cincinnati; one daughter, Nicki (Chris) Fleming of Cincinnati; four grandchildren, Jordan of Chicago and Alec and Logan Graves and Morgan Fleming of Cincinnati; and two brothers, James (Susan) Gibbs of Cincinnati and Jack Gibbs of Washington Court House.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Nov. 5 at 11 a.m. at the Hardin’s Creek Cemetery at Bridges. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home.
