Myron Lee Green, 70, of Chillicothe, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, at his home.
He was born on April 21, 1952, in Greenfield, the son of the late Walter Lee and Opal Ellen (Clark) Green.
He worked for various families in Greenfield farming, McMullen Trucking, Phil Ward Texaco, and Marion Baxla’s Marathon. He enjoyed camping, playing softball at Felson’s Park and going to watch football and basketball games for the McClain Tigers, demolition derbies, and tractor pulls.
Myron is survived by two sons, Antonio Captain of Columbus and Matthew Seitz of Leesburg; five grandchildren, Brennen Bobst, Mercedes Captain, Antonio Captain II, Ahlovean Erica and Marie Captain; three great-grandchildren, Jahzara Captain, Zi’Drel Captain and Reanna Thomas; brothers-in-law, Michael Reeves and Pat (Carla) Reeves; sister-in-law, Marge Greene; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; two special nephews, Chris Nelson and Carlton Greene; and one special cousin, Ritchie Hawkins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary J. Green, on Dec. 19, 2021; one brother, Lawrence Edward Greene; and one sister, Vera Louise Nelson.
A celebration of life service will be Sept. 24 at 11 a.m. at the Shorter Chapel A.M.E. Church, 200 North Street, Greenfield with Reverend Ruth Ames officiating.
