Margaret Alice “Pat” Sagar, 88, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023 at home.
She was born July 29, 1934 in Fayette County, the daughter of Honor and Lillie (Littrell) Patton.
Pat was a 1952 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School and was a member of the F.O.E. #1325, VFW Post 4736, American Legion Post 14 and Amvets Post 61. She enjoyed fast-pitch softball, bowling, euchre, shuffleboard, the OSU Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals.
She retired from the U.S. Shoe Factory after many years of employment.
She is survived by three daughters, Judith A. Grooms of Greenfield, Tammy Landrum (Bart Anderson) of Greenfield and Tina (Sid) Charles of Greenfield; one son, Randy (Karen) Sagar of West Virginia; grandchildren, Robert Martin (Teshia), Mindy (Jeff) Henderson, Jamie (Kenny) Butler, Ben (Erica) Sagar, Kevin Bowders, Shawn Bowders, Ekko Lane (Zachary Anderson), Randy “Mikie” Bowman (Elisa), Sean Charles and Shanna (Luke) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Trey, Laila, Lucy, Grace, Kasen, Easten, Bella, Jace, Cody, Chance, Emry, Silas, Wyatt and Quinn; great-great-grandson, Finn; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Connie Patton of Washington C.H.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Garry “Andy” Sagar; three brothers, James, Dick and Dale Patton; and both parents.
Funeral service will be Monday, Jan. 16 at 1 p.m. at Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Roger Newkirk officiating. Burial will follow in the White Oak Grove Cemetery near Buena Vista.
Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
