Lynda S. Hopkins

Lynda S. Hopkins, a beloved mother, grandmother and sister, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the age of 79.

Born on April 24, 1947, in Pike County, she was the daughter of the late Dallas and Delcie (Cox) Knisley.

Lynda held various occupations over the years and her strong work ethic and commitment to helping others was always at the forefront of all she did. Beyond her professions, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Lynda's passions for cooking, baking, gardening, and interior decorating were evident in the love she poured into her home and the hearts of her family and friends. She particularly cherished spending time with her grandchildren, who brought endless happiness and laughter into her life.
Lynda is survived by her two daughters, DeAnna (Brad) Gall and Kimberly (Robert) Reiser; stepdaughters, Tina (Dave) Leary and Lisa Hopkins; granddaughters, Jordan, Erin and Ashlyn Gall, Shelby (Logan) Brigner and Sydney (Elijah) Henry; two great-grandchildren, RJ and Addison Brigner; her loving brother, Harry Knisley; and many nieces and nephews. Each of them will forever treasure the memories and the loving legacy she leaves behind.
Lynda always had a great love for animals.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Dan Hopkins; son, Michael Fields; and brothers, Doc, Roger, Gary, Anthony and Randy Knisley.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 26 at the Bainbridge Cemetery.

Lynda now rests peacefully, and the love she shared will continue to bloom in the hearts of those who knew her. May we all carry forward the warmth of her legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Highland County Humane Society in Lynda’s name.

Thompson Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family.
