Kristy Ann Morgan

Kristy Ann Morgan, 47, passed away Monday, Aug. 3, 2026 at her home.  
 
She was born Nov. 11, 1978 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Thomas and Carolyn Groves Cordrey.

She was a 1997 graduate of Lynchburg-Clay High School and had worked for Russ Newman Insurance for over 17 years.
 
Surviving are husband, Michael Morgan, whom she married July 25, 1998; two daughters, Makenzie Morgan and Hannah (Bradon) Sellman; a grandson, Wesley Sellman; mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Tony Frye; father, Thomas Cordrey; two brothers, Chad Edward (Rebecca) Cordrey and Craig Allen Cordrey; two sisters-in-law, Glenda Morgan and Amanda Morgan; two grandmothers, Carolyn Groves and Rose Ann Cordrey; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
 
Kristy was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Carolyn and Glenn Morgan; and her grandfathers, Henry Groves and Charles Cordrey.
 
Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Monday, Aug. 10 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Darrin Sanderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Barker Cemetery, Pricetown.
 
Friends will be received at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home Sunday, Aug. 9 from 2-4 p.m.
