Joanne M. Roberts, 88, of the Mowrystown community, passed away Monday, Oct. 31, 2022 at the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center in Seaman.
She was born May 9, 1934 in Mowrystown, the daughter of the late Leslie and Hazel (Martin) Beucler.
On June 20, 1953, Joanne was united in marriage to Jack V. Roberts in Mowrystown, and together they had three children. She was a member of the Mowrystown Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her son, Barth (Denise) Roberts; two daughters, Julie (Rob) Greene and Jackie (Kenny) Broughton; nine grandchildren, Craig (Heather) Roberts, Jason (Shannon) Roberts, Lorin (Blake) Kibler, Sarah (Kenny) Barnes, Kellie Greene, Seth (Becca) Greene, Jesse (Ally) Greene, Clay (Kaylie) Broughton and Whitney Broughton; 13 great-grandchildren: Tyler Roberts, Ryan Roberts, Eli Roberts, Addison Roberts, Grady Roberts, Weston Kibler, Grayson Kibler, Paxton Kibler, Jackson Barnes, Jayla Haithcock, Derrik Haithcock, Norah Greene and Jonah Greene; her sister, Karol Lee Wallen; brother-in-law, Phil (Carol) Roberts; seven nephews; and one niece.
In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Roberts, who passed away Sept. 23, 2018; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Esther Beucler; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sara Lou "Sally" Sanders and William "Bill" Sanders; brother-in-law, Sherman Wallen; and nephew, William Thomas Sanders.
Visitation will be held for friends and family Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. with services immediately following at the Edgington Funeral Home in Mowrystown. Interment will follow in the Mowrystown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts, contributions in Joanne's memory may be made to Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center, 230 Medical Park Dr., Seaman, Ohio 45679 or Les Feldick Ministries, 30706 Lona Valley Rd, Kinta, Okla. 74552.
