Joan (Tener) Fauber
Joan (Tener) Fauber, 94, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Oct. 29, 1930 in Washington Court House, the daughter of the late Samuel Lewis Tener Sr. and Stella May (Douglas) Tener.
A 1949 graduate of Belfast High School, Joan lived a life rooted in faith, family and community. A devoted member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ, Joan participated faithfully in the Lady’s Prayer Group and found strength and joy in her spiritual community. She embraced her role as a farmer’s wife with pride and grace – whether working in the garden, preparing for family gatherings at the farm, or simply savoring the everyday moments spent with her loved ones.
Joan cherished time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love. She also found purpose working at Litt Bros. Company and many years of volunteer service with the American Cancer Society – a cause dear to her heart. Joan's presence was a blessing to all who knew her. Her kindness and joyful spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Joan is survived by her four children, Marilyn (Eric) Mathews, Daniel (Katina) Fauber, David (Jill) Fauber, and Daryl (Jeanie) Fauber; seven grandchildren, Christopher (Denise) Fauber, Brian (Arienne) Fauber, Todd Fauber, Nicholas (Cathy) Fauber, Lindsay (Brad) Wildey, Craig (Morgan) Fauber, and Kyle (Octavia) Fauber; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Jane Fauber; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
