Janet M. Etienne

Janet M. Etienne, 81, of Lynchburg, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

She was born at the family home in Salem Township, Lynchburg, May 6, 1943, the daughter of the late Richard and Grace (Adkins) Baker. 

Janet is survived by her eight children, Annjanette M. Howsan (Wayne) of Holly Springs, MS, Lugrace D. Faircloth of Hillsboro, Georgene R. Patterson (Janice Carpenter) of Somerset, KY, Tryon C.Faircloth (Misty Robinson) of Lynchburg, Una L. Hall (Henry) of Hillsboro, Suzanne R. Greene (Michael) of Hillsboro, Kevin R. Etienne (Valerie Rotes) of Ottawa, Kan. and Heather M. Blanton of West Union; 26 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by both her husbands, Arnold Tryon Faircloth and Kenneth Ray Etienne; and one sister, Sandra L. Bell.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 27 at Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Harwood Cemetery in Lynchburg.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
