James Vinson Fenner

James Vinson Fenner, 79, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025 at home.
 
He was born June 8, 1945 in Greenfield, the son of George Vinson and Rosemary (Hartley) Fenner.
 
He was a 1963 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School and served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves during the Vietnam War as a sergeant. He attended the Greenfield First United Methodist Church.
 
Jim was a printer at Greenfield Times from 1966-89 and later at Greenfield Printing (Banta Publications) from 1989-2003.
 
He is survived by his wife, Linda L. (Welch) Fenner, whom he married on June 25, 1966; one daughter, Jamie Lynn (Kurt) Smith of Shelbyville, Ky.; one son, Mark Fenner of Greenfield; four grandchildren, Emma, Alexis, Sara and Koen; one great-grandson, Lucas Byron Smith; and two brothers, John Fenner of Las Vegas and Fred (Natosha) Fenner of Ft. Worth, Texas.
 
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Fenner; twin sisters in infancy, Jane and Joan; sister, Regina Jeffers; and both parents.
 
Cremation will take place and there will not be a service observed.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to Greenfield First United Methodist Church, Window Fund, 405 South Street, Greenfield, Ohio 45123.
 
The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
