Gwynne Telling Scaletta Swan, 70, of South Salem, Ohio passed away Monday, July 28 at home while surrounded by her loved ones.
 
She was born Jan. 1, 1955, the first born of the year in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, the daughter of Norman and Laverne (Shuey) Motko.
 
She was a 1972 graduate of Valley Forge High School in Parma Heights and enjoyed attending the South Salem United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, which she loved and cherished every minute of, and was a pipefitter in the UA Local 120.
 
She is survived by seven children, Tammy Maroney, Tonya (John) Sullivan, Raymond Scaletta, Katrena (Brandon) Scaletta, Krystal (Johnny) Simmons, Korlyne “Gig” (Shane) Reynolds, Richard “Richie” (Ciera) Swan; 16 grandchildren, Ashley, Miles, Todd, Billy, Austin, Payton, Briella, Patrick, Destaney, Malaia, Lucas, Sophia, Lance, Julian, Callan and Aria; several great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bruce (Renée) Motko, Edward (Connie) Strauss and David Strauss all of Cleveland; one niece, Johnett Motko; her first love and significant other, Ray “Daddy Ray” Scaletta; and two best friends, Jill and Irene.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard G. Swan, on Nov. 9, 2011; one daughter, Teresa Swan; two brothers, Pix Motko and Brad Motko; father, Norman Motko; mother and stepfather, Laverne and Edward Strauss.  
 
Memorial service will be 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8 at Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Sam Mincey officiating.
 
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8 at the funeral home.
