Edwin E. Tipton Sr.

Edwin E. Tipton Sr., 83, of Hillsboro, passed away May 11, 2025.

He is survived by children, Kimberly Tipton, Tamara (Michael) Whisler, Ed (Sheri) Tipton, Gail (Michael) Ditello, Jan (Mark) Seimer and Cynthia (Kenny) Sims; 23 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Katherine Tipton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ishmer and Flossie (Schooler) Tipton; mother of six children, Jacqueline Green and Alice “Faye” Tipton; and brothers, Charles, Bill and Bobby. 

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 16 at Thompson Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Burial will be in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
