Dorothy Frances (Ogg) “Dottie” Moon, 85, of Washington C.H., passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025 at Adena Fayette Medical Center in Washington C.H.
 
She was born July 1, 1939, in Greenfield, the daughter of William E. and Valeria (Littler) Ogg.
 
She was a 1957 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School and was a very devoted mother and grandmother. 
 
She retired in 1997 from the Greenfield Printing and Publishing Company after 16 years as secretary to the president. She was secretary to the president and vice president of the Motorist Mutual Fire Division in Columbus for 13 years. Prior to this, she modeled for Lazarus and Morehouse Fashion.
 
She is survived by her son, William Paul Fryer of Greenfield; two grandsons, Steven (Amber) Fryer of Hillsboro and Michael (Chandra) Fryer of Greenfield; three great grandsons, Matthew Owen Fryer, Odin Lee Fryer, Theodore Timothy Fryer; two stepsons, Michael (Karen) Moon of Charlevoix, Michigan, Matthew Moon of Logan; two stepdaughters, Melissa Moon of W.Va., Melanie (Chad) Wilt of Nelsonville; one sister, Ada (Harold) Gutridge of Lancaster; one niece, Linda (Trey) Gulau of Sandusky; two nephews, Gary Carpenter of FL; Bill (Nicole) Ogg of Ramsey, New Jersey; four great nieces, Isabella, Abigail, Ciara, Paige; and one great-nephew, Kirk.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, David D. Moon, on March 24, 2021; one son, Timothy Lee Fryer; two sisters, Nina Williams and Betty (Ken) Carpenter; one brother, Paul C. Ogg; one daughter-in-law, Lisa (Knisley) Fryer; one nephew, Carlton Carpenter, one sister-in-law, Jean Ogg; the father of her children, William Fryer; and both parents.
 
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Mark Current officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
