Doris (Bellamy) Satterfield | The Highland County Press

Doris (Bellamy) Satterfield, 88, of Hillsboro, passed away on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025 at Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.

She was born March 24, 1937 in Canton, the daughter of the late Henry Bellamy and Mabel (Geiger) Bellamy.

Doris was incredibly giving and loving, with a sassy and sparkle spirit.

Surviving are her daughter, Deborah (Jerry) Edgington; two sons, Jeff (Kimberly) Satterfield and Jim (Lisa) Satterfield; four grandchildren, Erin (Kirk) Bright, Corey Satterfield, Samantha Satterfield and Thomas Flanagan; a great-grandchild, Owen Satterfield; six siblings, Ralph Bellamy, Kenneth Bellamy, Linda (Ralph) Gleadle, Roy (Linda) Bellamy, Shirley Sexton and Barbara (Rick) Seaman; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death her husband, James Lloyd Satterfield, whom she married on July 23, 1955; and two siblings, Harlan Bellamy and Carolyn Surber.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.

Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
