Charles David Patrick, 68, passed away after a long illness at his Cincinnati home on Feb. 11, 2025.
Chuck was born Oct. 3, 1956 in Dayton, to the late Kash and Orpha Patrick.
He attended Fairview High School in Dayton and proudly served in the U.S. Army as a SP4 in Fulda, Germany. He was in employed for many years at General Electric Aviation in Evendale, Ohio. Chuck was an outdoorsman who loved hunting (particularly deer season)fishing and boating. He studied Native American lore collecting many artifacts in the spring when the southern Ohio fields were newly turned and furrowed. He enjoyed reading Westerns and mountain man novels. He was a big fan of Louis L’ Amour. He was a master craftsman and there wasn’t anything he could not build or repair. He adored animals and rescued numerous abandoned cats and dogs over the years. Chuck was an honorable man who loved family and friends and will be remembered for his generous heart and great sense of humor.
He is survived by his significant other, Shawna Moman; his son Jared David Patrick; sister Darlene Patrick Hart (Mike); uncles; aunts; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, Jessica Darlene Patrick.
A gathering of friends and family will be held noon-1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 at the Edgington Funeral Home, 17 E. Main St., Mowrystown. Burial will follow in the Mowrystown Cemetery, where the Highland County Veterans Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.
