Carol Ann Yates

Carol Ann Yates, 73, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026 at home.
 
She was born June 10, 1952 in Greenfield, the daughter of Norman D. and Frances (Lykins) Leeth.  
 
She was a 1970 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School. She was a homebody that loved the outdoors and never met a stray animal that she didn’t like or take in.
 
She was a long-time employee of Johnson Controls of Greenfield until its closing, then employed at Airborne Express until it closed.  
 
She is survived by her son, Donnie (Leigh) Yates of Greenfield; two grandsons, Camden Yates (Tessa Gaffin) of Greenfield and Emerson Yates of Greenfield; one brother, Richard Leeth of Greenfield; one sister, Ellen Paul of Carroll; and one nephew, Joe Paul.
 
She was preceded in death by one nephew, David Paul; and both parents.
 
Private burial will be at the convenience of the family. There will not be a visitation observed.
 
The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
