Beverly Ann (Selph) Wilkin
Beverly Ann (Selph) Wilkin, 91, of the Lynchburg community, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
She was born Sept. 30, 1934, the daughter of the late Paul and Marie (Malone) Selph.
Beverly was a proud graduate of Lynchburg High School and dedicated many years of service to the Lynchburg-Clay School District. She began her career working in the school kitchen and, through her hard work and commitment, later retired from the school board. She also spent time working at the Lynchburg Library, a place she truly loved.
A faithful member of the Allensburg Church of Christ, Beverly lived her life with kindness, devotion, and a strong work ethic. She was never afraid of hard work and could often be found helping on the family farm, driving tractors and doing whatever needed to be done. Her strength and determination were admired by all who knew her.
Beverly found joy in life’s simple blessings. She loved to read, care for her flowers and prepare meals for those she loved. Family dinners were made special by her presence, and everyone looked forward to her homemade noodles, which became a treasured tradition. She especially loved being a mother and caring for her children, always putting their needs first and surrounding them with love and guidance.
Above all, Beverly was a loving mother and grandmother whose warmth, wisdom and caring spirit will be deeply missed. She leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Beverly is survived by her two children, Timothy Wilkin of Hillsboro and Lisa (Kevin) Bowra Cooper of West Chester; six grandchildren, Andrea (Rusty) Donohoo, Josie Donohoo, Sarah Lee (Kameron Robinson) Wilkin, Braeden Bowra, Theran Bowra and Haley Bowra; and one great-grandchild, Kalijah; a sister, Sandy Webb of Wilmington; her beloved dog, Molly “Speedy” and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Coolie” Dwain Wilkin on Jan. 26, 2018; her son, Gregory Lee Wilkin; a sister, Janice Holland; and a brother, Charles “Butch” Selph.
