Beulah E. Blair

Beulah E. Blair, 88, of Hillsboro, passed away, Friday, Aug. 14, 2026.

Beulah was born April 24, 1938 in Highland County, the daughter of the late Milton C. and Stella Lucille (Fender) Grabill. 

She was a proud graduate of the 1956 class at Marshall High School. Beulah spent her childhood in the Marshall community and felt that was her home. Beulah worked at Ohio Bell Telephone and at Robertshaw Controls for several years. Beulah and Plinny owned and operated Blair Plumbing in Hillsboro until Plinny's retirement in 1993, when their son, David, would become the third generation to continue the business. Beulah also owned the Blair Modern Trailer Court in Hillsboro from 1989 until 2018. Beulah was known for her hard work and commitment to excellence in all that she did.

Beulah attended the Rainsboro Church of Christ. Beulah's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she found great joy in nurturing her relationships within her church community.

Beulah is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Angie Blair and Timothy "Tim" and Julie Blair; as well as her cherished granddaughters, Haley (James) Stangle and Samantha (Landon) Weber; four great-grandchildren; brother, Elbert Grabill; sister-in-law, Alice Blair; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Plinny D. Blair Jr., who passed away on Aug. 4, 2023; one granddaughter, Amber Blair; two sisters, Tula McCutcheon and Frances Grabill; and one brother, Dana Grabill.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 22 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, 241 E. Main St., Hillsboro.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 22 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
