Albert A. Penwell Jr., 79, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
 
He was born Jan. 30, 1946 in Franklin County, the son of Albert A. Penwell Sr. and Helen (Howe) Penwell.
 
Albert served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the AmVets Post 2256 in Circleville. He retired from Candle-lite in Leesburg, where he was employed for 20 years.
 
He is survived by son, Andrew (Savannah) Penwell of Greenfield.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Davis) Penwell, on April 13, 2006; stepdaughter, Brenda Mitchell; one brother, Eddie Penwell; one sister, Linda Nebbergall; father, Albert Penwell Sr.; and mother, Helen Eddleblute.
 
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield beginning with a Veterans Appreciation service then Pastor Scott Wise will officiate. 

Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery with military rites provided by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield.
 
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 at the funeral home.
