Wilmington OSHP Post investigating single-vehicle fatal crash

WILMINGTON – The Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle, single-occupant fatal crash. The crash occurred on Feb. 5 at approximately 9:22 p.m. on state Route 133 near mile post 7 in Vernon Township, Clinton County. 

The preliminary investigation revealed a 2003 Ford Explorer operated by a James Douglas Little,     57, of Clarksville was traveling northwest on state Route 133 when it traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a tree, a culvert and overturned into a creek.

Little was transported to Clinton Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Blanchester Police Department, Clarksville Fire and EMS, and Clinton-Warren Joint Fire and EMS.

This crash remains under investigation by the Wilmington Post.
